We decided on CharmHealth for a number of reasons. It allows us to set up independent facilities with their own schedules and pricing structures, while also being able to support shared care management across the system. Similarly, it allows for the sharing of protocols, smart phrases, order sets and templates. It has a built-in HIPAA-compliant internal messaging system which negates the need for additional communication software such as Slack. Finally, CharmHealth's pricing structure perfectly compliments FHP's in that it allows flexibility in add-on options as well as a pay-per-encounter fee schedule. Ultimately, after hours of demos and lengthy spreadsheet comparisons of EMR products, CharmHealth was the clear winner.
We feel that Google Workspace is also an essential software solution for FHP. It allows us to share a common drive where we can store generic templates and resources that can then be copied to personal drives where they can be customized to our individual practices. It also provides each of us access to a shared calendar for scheduling meetings and events, as well as a host of additional business productivity apps.
